Welcome to
the Home Page for the KYZO
Instant Messenger (KyzoIM)
KyzoIM is our Jabber client.
It is written in Delphi6, from scratch. That is, we haven't used any existing
Jabber code in it. Although it does use the publicly available components
ZipTVand Indy, aka Internet Direct, TCP tools
and HtmlLite (Copyright 1995-2000 by L. David Baldwin - http://www.pbear.com/) Delphi modules.
We have tested it with our
Jabber Server (v1.4.1) and with the Jabber.org server. If you like MSN then
you will probably find some of the way KyzoIM works familiar, but at the
end of the day it has a little of every IM client in it.
Source is not available, but
the binary is free for personal, non-commercial, use. Commercial licenses
(optionally including source) and customization is available onrequest. Its also has the ability to be
easily re-branded with a different set of icons and logos using an encrypted
resource file. For licensing reasons, this option is only available to commercial
clients. Here are some screen shots...
Chatting with my friend "Matt" atAppliansys:- ![]()
During a "chat" the following
translations will occur :-
These translations are held in a text file, so you can easily mess around with them and add your own. Also, being GIFs, some are animated. The client will hyperlink any URL, make bold any word enclosed in "*" and underline any word enclosed in "_". e.g. *not* -> not and _hot_ -> hot. Searching a Jabber User Database (JUD) :-
